A Wintry Walk

Come with us on a "wintry walk" and see where it will take you.....

First of all how about going squirrel hunting with us?

Faith's first squirrel.....

This squirrel that sneaks down to our patio better watch out!

And then there's Christmas.....music, gifts, and food.

Our Christmas meal was deer roast, green beans from a Kentucky garden, and mashed potatoes and gravy.  

And we had sparkling cider to drink.

Faith loves her sleeping bag that she got for Christmas!

Of course everyone knows we've been getting snow....

and cold weather.....

We found this big hornets nest in our tree out front....

One very cold and windy day we had to take a 

"wintry walk to waterworks" fire department

because......

someone left for work without something very important.

So we met down at the waterworks fire department.

Our destination:

It was soooo windy and cold!

Haha

But we were on a mission!

We must get to daddy and give him his popcorn and hot tea!

(ahem and his wallet)

There he comes!

Hurry!

And there he goes!

Mission accomplished!

When it's this cold it's a big job 

to keep the wood box filled and the fire going hot!

When she's not getting in the wood, she works on her spinning wheel and loom making shawls.

This one is made with sheep fiber.

This one was made from Alpaca fiber..

And this one was made from Llama fiber.

I don't know if you can see this print very good but

it's a bear track.  Yes you read correctly!

We had a bear walking around the edge of our fence.

Didn't get a picture of the bear but we followed it's tracks.

Lots of people in the area had reported seeing a bear.

I guess he was looking for a nice place to hibernate.

For all of you succulent lovers out there....

Faith's Life Saver plant bloomed!

We love browsing through antique/thrift shops!
