Happy News!
She said "Yes!" and we are happy to announce that
Nathan and Laurisa are getting married!
A beautiful sapphire ring.....
Welcome to the family Laurisa!
While Nathan was off to Alabama getting engaged, we went on a little hike. I know, we're always hiking. Well this time we decided to do a section of the Appalachian Trail.
It wasn't actually a "little" hike....we went for 10 miles.
Parking our car at one end and driving our truck to the other we hiked back to the car.
Come along with us!
A woodpecker has been busy here.
When you're on the Appalachian Trail, just follow the white blazes marked on the trees......
We decided to go off the trail and check out the water site .1M down....
The trail blazes were blue for the water.....see it on the tree?
Found it!
It was very good water!
"Somebody" kept wanting to stop for lunch...so she ran ahead and found a "lunch log".
So we stopped to eat.
I looked beside the trail and noticed these two sticks that formed a cross. Thought it was neat since it was Good Friday.
The trail is beginning to get a little rough.....
The view through the trees was nice.....
Havin some deer jerky.....
Made it to a lookout.....
There were hundreds of ladybugs on the rock there!!
So I named it "Ladybug Lookout"
Taking time to pray at 3:00......
Has Faith whiffed a bear?
There were trees that had been clawed up by a bear!
Wonder if it lives here?
Whew! made it back to the car!
I must say, we were purty tuckered out!
Queenie was exhausted!
Our treasures from the trail.....
Now what's Karl up to?
Another new addition to our family.
