Happy Times

Here are some pictures of our month of October.....

A trip to Kentucky, a beautiful sunrise, activity in my kitchen, roosters at a rest stop....

We are so happy to see Mom feeling good and looking so healthy!

Visiting Dad and Mom in Kentucky....

and a quick trip to Jeffersonville for church and a visit

with the rest of the Riley family.

Quiet Time Cabin in Kentucky.....

That rocking chair makes a good place

to sit while having Quiet Time.

....Then you open the door and this sunrise is what greets you!

It certainly puts a happy smile on your face!

 I've always loved seeing the 

mists along the 'hollers' in the early morning. 

Makes me feel so happy inside!

Dad got a deer while we were there

with his muzzleloader gun.

Here's how you bring a deer out of the "hollers" in Kentucky...

gotta have extra weight on the front so it doesn't flip over.

 We were happy to help Dad with his deer.

Mom was happy that we butchered it for her.

On the road home, we stopped at a rest area and what did our eyes behold?  Two roosters just hanging out in the parking lot!

This is off of a major highway in the middle of nowhere!

I guess they made it safely 'across the road' from somewhere!
They looked pretty happy to be there!

Faith and I are so happy to be back in our kitchen!

Jason did a great job tearing out our old countertop and replaced it with a custom made wooden one for us.

He handmade this for us and it turned out beautiful!

It's awesome!
