I guess my heart was on my ol' Kentucky home and I decorated our mantel with a Kentucky theme before we left.
Mom and dad have a lot of bird friends!
The scenery around my ol' Kentucky home.
Sittin' around and singin' is always enjoyable!
Ridin' on the 4-wheeler down to the 'holler'
Swingin' out above the 'holler'! Hang on Faith!
Billy took us to this country road for hillbilly bike ridin'. He put the bikes on his truck and drove up to the top of the road and it was downhill ridin' all the way!
When you don't have enough bikes to go around, you just have to make do!
There were deserted old farms with old trucks and tractors sittin' around in the weeds. A 'crick' ran all along the side and a doe even joined us at one point!
See the bird in the bush?
Honey Locust tree with giant thorns! Ouch!
Thanks Billy and Lavonne for a great afternoon!
Did you ever hear of anyone eating the peel with the orange?
Yep...Billy does.
My talented mom has started yet another beautiful quilt!
This is where I went to school through 4th grade. Needless to say it's not being used anymore since they started busing everyone into town to school. Country schools were the best!
Here comes mom and dad home from driving the kids to school.
We went to a giant flea market while we were visiting, and our pictures got put in the local paper!
While we were gone, my lettuce and onions had come up!
"So happy to be down here in this lovely state of Kentucky again, my home state. No matter where you ever go, there's something about where you were born and raised that always makes you long to get back."

Did your blues slip away as you joined us on our trip?
See ya'll!
