EAGLES!

Yes I get excited when I see eagles!
Maybe because I'm an Eagle?
"You're predestinated by God to be eagles. You were born to be eagles. You're part of the eagle family. Your spirit come from God, Who created the heavens and earth, "
58-0500 - The Eagle Stirring Her Nest
    Bro. Branham

Every year at the end of October through the beginning of January, eagles gather at the Conowingo Dam in Maryland.
What's the attraction?
Fish.  Lots of fish.
When the dam opens its hatches at certain times throughout the day, not only does water get released but fish too.
So the eagles have learned to hang out here for a buffet.
We decided to go and see the eagles.
Wow.  There were lots of eagles!
And a lot of professional (and unprofessional like me)
photographers to capture these great birds on their cameras.
I have a lot to learn in taking pictures
but here are a few of my favorites.

Awesome Autumn

Even though it's sad that summer is over, autumn is pretty awesome too!  There are  all the pretty colors, deer hunting, thanksgiving, woodstove fires, pumpkin pies, and family togetherness!

"I believe that God is a God of variety. The world proves that. He's got big mountains and little mountains. He's got plains. He's got deserts. He's got different things, because He made it the way He wanted it. And He made the seasons; summer, winter, spring, autumn. He made the seasons. It shows He's a God of variety."

This is my Beauty Berry Bush.
It blooms at the beginning of Autumn.

Bringing in my houseplants until next summer.

Cleaning up Nathan's trees that fell.....
gave us a lot of firewood for next winter!

Wonder who the mysterious hooded person is
that's helping to run the log splitter?......

Every year at the end of summer we buy meals from the local fire company.  They do this for a fundraiser.
Turkey and ham....yum!

It's always exciting when daddy drives by in the feed truck!
We just have to run out and wave hello!
Brings a smile to our faces! :0)

And it's fun to ride along with him on Saturdays.  We go to quite a few Amish farms which is always so interesting!

Deer season is here and that means
filling up the freezer with some good meat!

Finding her arrow after harvesting a deer.

After finding her arrow,
of course we had to hear the story of how she shot the deer!

Learning how to butcher her own deer meat.

Visits from our new neighbors are always a treat!

When your cold there's nothing like a woodstove to warm you up!

There's just something about autumn and pumpkin pies!

One of the last little flowers in the woods trying to hang on...

Yes! Soup for those cold autumn days!

Walking across a dry harvested corn field
is definitely a sign of autumn!

Did I mention that Faith is becoming a great fudge maker?
Yum!

Taking advantage of one of the last warmer days of autumn....
That's Faith's fleece drying on the racks beside the clothing.

The homeschoolers went to the Ringing Rocks in Pottstown PA
They really do ring like bells when you hit them with hammers!

Our lil chipmunk...got her wisdom teeth taken out.
Daddy says it will be hard to do school work now that her 'wisdom' teeth are gone!

Family togetherness!

Getting ready to load the loom for another shawl.....

Found this mushroom in our woods....

Found the praying mantis while looking for a lost arrow
during hunting season.

Sweet Autumn Clematis blooms at the beginning of Autumn and it sure smells sweet!
Just as sweet as hugs from Grandma!

We were blessed with a visit from a Bobwhite.
First he pecked on our patio window then walked over to say hello to the chickens.

Sorry these pics are fuzzy.....phone pics.

It's always a good time for quiet time!
