Alpaca Bag

When I ask Faith if she wanted to go to KY and Indiana after the Alpaca fleece to shawl competition, she said, 

"Alpaca bag!"

So we all packed our bags and headed to the competition.

Her 4-H group had to card the alpaca fiber, spin it, ply it, and weave  a shawl in an allotted time.

They had a theme that went along with the color of their shawl;

"A field of tulips"

There were also Alpaca shows being held at the same time.  It was fun to walk around and see these pretty animals.

After it was over, we jumped in the car and headed west.

To KY/IN

Sunday morning we got up early and headed to Jeffersonville with my parents to attend the Seventh Seal Service.

It was wonderful!

We then got to visit with my brothers and sister.  I didn't get too many pictures.....

Then it was back to KY to see Billy and visit at my parents.

Billy found a bunch of fossils at his place....

Lavonne's clematis is blooming....

An arrowhead he found....

Anybody hungry for a mess of poke greens? Yum!

Down at Billy's 'crick' there a place where a spring is bubbling out and there's clay oozing out too.

My mom's snowball bush is blooming....

Me and Faith decided to go on a hike down in the woods....

My mom has a trumpet vine growing in the wheel...

I don't think that wheel is going anywhere anytime soon!

We enjoyed watching the bluebirds going in and out of their nest.
